1/2-Day Halibut Cove Kayak Tour

1/2-Day Halibut Cove Kayak Tour

Halibut Cove is a breathtaking spot where mile-high snow-capped peaks thrust themselves out of the Bay. This trip starts with a 30-minute scenic boat cruise on Kachemak Bay, arriving at our wilderness lodge inside Kachemak Bay State Park. After instructions and “gearing up”, head out on the protected cove in search of sea otters, bald eagles, and other marine life. Paddle along sea cliff, sea cave, and then stretch your legs and do some beach combing on a pristine beach accessible only by boat. The journey continues as you explore the “bush” village of Halibut Cove.  Hear the stories of the once bustling fishing village turned to ghost town, then revived into an eclectic community of commercial fishermen, artists, and oyster farmers.  In short, there’s no place on earth like Halibut Cove!
