Wilderness Lodge Packages

Our All-Inclusive Lodge Packages have the details and logistics care of for you. From the scenic boat ride and guided excursions, to the delicious meals and comfortable cabins. Everything is taken care of so you can simply explore, relax, and take in our incredible setting inside Kachemak Bay State Park. Spend your days exploring glaciers, park trails and protected coves with experienced Alaskan guides, and in the evenings relax in comfort and style, enjoying the incredible views, wildlife sightings, and ocean breezes and great food at this elegantly rustic wilderness lodge.

Guests at Hideaway Cove Wilderness Lodge can choose from one-night to five-night packages. Rates include scenic boat ride to and from lodge, ocean-front log cabin, all lodge facilities, delicious meals, and activities.

1-night lodge package
a perfect introduction to the Alaskan Wilderness.  Includes a guided glacier trip.

2-night lodge package
a perfect "add on" to a stay in Homer.  Includes a guided glacier trip and a free day to explore on your own.

3-night wilderness lodge package
Our most popular package. Includes 2 guided trips and a free day to relax or explore on your own.

4-night wilderness lodge package
Same as the 3 night with an extra day for exploring or relaxing.

5-night wilderness lodge package 
WOW!!  Glaciers, kayaking, hiking, marine life, with an optional day ofbear viewing.

Over-night Wilderness Lodge Package

(Check-in on Monday - Saturday)

Day 1
Depart Homer at 6 pm for an evening spent at Hideaway Cove Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy a private, ocean-front cabin completely surrounded by Kachemak Bay State Park. You can also relax in the main lodge, sit on the viewing deck, relax in the cedar sauna, or stroll the rocky beaches.

Day 2
After breakfast, enjoy a guided day trip; hiking and kayaking at a pristine, glacier-carved lake. Kayak among the ice bergs, enjoy the breathtaking beauty and enjoy lunch overlooking the magnificent glacier. Hike back to the lodge and return to Homer by boat in the late afternoon.
This day includes 2-3 hours hiking and 2-3 hours kayaking

Two-night Wilderness Lodge Package

(Check-in on Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Day 1
Enjoy a late afternoon departure to Hideaway Cove, arriving at the Lodge after a scenic 30-minute boat ride. After a tour of the grounds, guests can relax in their cabin, the main lodge, out on the viewing deck, or stroll the rocky beaches.

Day 2
After breakfast in the lodge, enjoy a full day of hiking and kayaking at a nearby glacier. A 2-mile hike through a coastal forest, brings us to a pristine glacier-carved lake. After the hike, paddle a stable sea kayak around mammoth icebergs and along the rugged shores of the lake. Explore and photograph the virgin landscape at the face of the glacier while learning first hand about the incredible power of moving ice. After lunch, hike back to Hideaway Cove Lodge. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner at the lodge. After dinner, walk the rocky shoreline, relax in the lodge, or unwind in the wood-fired sauna.
This day includes 2-3 hours hiking and 2-3 hours kayaking

Day 3
Guests can choose to relax around the lodge or hike up a maintained State Park trail to the alpine tundra. The 360 degree views are spectacular. On a clear day, you will enjoy the views of endless mountain peaks, immense glaciers, snow-capped volcanoes and the crystal waters of Kachemak Bay. If you've never seen alpine tundra, don't miss this chance. Hike back to the lodge and return to Homer by boat around 6:00 p.m.

This day includes 4-6 hours hiking.

Three-night Wilderness Lodge Package

(Check-in on Monday and Wednesday)

Day 1

After breakfast in the lodge, enjoy a full day of hiking and kayaking at a nearby glacier. A 2-mile hike through a coastal forest, brings us to a pristine glacier-carved lake. After the hike, paddle a stable sea kayak around mammoth icebergs and along the rugged shores of the lake. Explore and photograph the virgin landscape at the face of the glacier while learning first hand about the incredible power of moving ice. After lunch, hike back to Hideaway Cove Lodge. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner at the lodge. After dinner, walk the rocky shoreline, relax in the lodge, or unwind in the wood-fired sauna.
This day includes 2-3 hours hiking and 2-3 hours kayaking

Day 3
After a relaxing breakfast, embark on a half-day sea-kayak tour of historic Halibut Cove. You will be awestruck by the beauty and history of this remote corner of Alaska. Snow-capped mountains, sea cliffs, and marine wildlife are all enjoyed from the comfort of your stable sea kayak. In addition to the kayaking, you also go beach combing on a remote pebble beach. After the tour, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxing. This trip includes 2-3 hours kayaking and 1 hour of walking.

Day 4
Guests can choose to relax around the lodge or hike up a maintained State Park trail to the alpine tundra. The 360 degree views are spectacular. Day 2 After breakfast, enjoy a full day of hiking and kayaking at a nearby glacier. A 2-mile hike through a coastal forest brings us to a pristine, glacier-carved lake. After the hike, paddle a stable sea kayak around mammoth icebergs and along the rugged shores of the lake. Explore and photograph the virgin landscape at the face of the glacier while learning first hand about the incredible power of moving ice. You even touch an iceberg!! After lunch, hike back to the Lodge. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner at the lodge. After dinner, walk the rocky shoreline, relax in the lodge, or unwind in the wood-fired sauna. This day includes 2-3 hours hiking and 2-3 hours kayaking

  • Full-Day Whale-Watching tour, Please add $150 to package price
  • 2-hour wildlife boat tour, Please add $75 to package price
  • Full-day of guided sport fishing, Halibut or Salmon Please add $250 to package price

For no additional cost, guests can explore on their own from the lodge, unlike other lodges, guests have direct access to the following trail destinations, (hiking times are one way) :

  • Glacier lake, one hour;
  • Glacier valley, 2 hours;
  • Remote beachcombing, 3 hours;
  • Glacier Ice, 5 hours
  • Alpine tundra, 3 hours;
  • Salmon stream, 5 hours;
  • Beach exploring, one hour.
  • Guests are also free to simply relax at the lodge and look for wildlife from the deck.

Day 5 The final morning, enjoy breakfast, and arrive back in Homer in the morning .

Package Price $1,099/person. Includes boat ride from Homer, all meals, activities, ocean-front log cabins, and all lodge facilities.

Five-night Wilderness Lodge Package

Day 1

Day 2 After breakfast in the lodge, enjoy a full day of hiking and kayaking at a nearby glacier.A 2-mile hike through a coastal forest, brings us to a pristine glacier-carved lake. After the hike, paddle a stable sea kayak around mammoth icebergs and along the rugged shores of the lake.Explore and photograph the virgin landscape at the face of the glacier while learning first hand about the incredible power of moving ice.After lunch, hike back to Hideaway Cove Lodge.
