Full Day Glacier Kayaking & Hiking Day Trip:

Your excursion begins with a scenic 20-minute boat ride across beautiful Kachemak Bay, into the heart of Kachemak Bay State Park. A fun and informative guided hike takes you through 3 distinct ecosystems; The coastal/marine environment, old-growth coastal forest, and glacial outwash plain. After arriving at the pristine glacier-carved lake, we continue our journey by kayak. Sounds of moving ice fill the valley as your stable kayak glides past magnificent icebergs of all sizes and shapes. Enjoy lunch in full view of the nearly mile-wide glacier face. After lunch, paddle back to the trail head, hike out, and return to Homer by boat. Truly breathtaking, Truly unforgettable.

Trip includes 2-3 hours hiking and 2-3 hours kayaking.

Fly-in Glacier Kayaking:  “This day trip does it all”

Experience the thrill of riding in a floatplane over the glacier, then landing in a remote, glacier-carved lake. Leisurely paddle a stable sea kayak around mammoth icebergs and then to the face of the glacier. Explore and photograph the virgin landscape at the face of the glacier while learning first hand about the incredible power of moving ice. Paddle back to the trailhead and enjoy a casual 2 mile hike through a old-growth coastal forest. Finish your tour with a scenic boat ride back to Homer.

This trip includes 1-2 hours hiking and 2-3  hours kayaking.

Halibut Cove by Kayak

Experience the historic community of Halibut Cove by kayak. Trips include a scenic boat ride on Kachemak Bay, a beach walk in Kachemak Bay State Park, and a Kayak tour of Halibut Cove! A perfect combination of Alaska history, ecology, geology and marine biology.......not to mention....lots of fun!

2-3 hours kayaking, 1 hour walking.

Depart Homer at 6 pm for an evening spent at Hideaway Cove Wilderness Lodge. Enjoy a private, ocean-front cabin completely surrounded by Kachemak Bay State Park. You can also relax in the main lodge, sit on the viewing deck, relax in the cedar sauna, or stroll the pebble beaches. In the morning, enjoy a 2-mile guided hike to a pristine, glacier lake. Kayak with the ice bergs and enjoy the breathtaking beauty and enjoy lunch overlooking the magnificent glacier. Hike back to the lodge and return to Homer by boat.

This trip includes 2-3 hours of hiking and 2-3 hours of kayaking.
This trip departs Homer at 6 pm and returns the following day around 6 pm.
Breakfast and lunch are included in this package.
